Instruments with a nominal diameter > DN25 and for process pressure > 0,5 bar may fall into the scope of the pressure equipment directive (PED) 2014/68/EU, but this option according to PED is not selected. However, the devices are designed and manufactured according to common engineering practice and therefore comply to the requirement following Article 4 (3) of the PED. The permissible area of application can be found in the diagrams 6 to 9 in the annex II of the directive.
